I'm building a new Prusa I3 Steel 2.01 and I've made some custom parts to get it up and running quickly. Most of the components are based on this thing from Thingiverse (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1054909). However, I want to use 8mm leadscrews instead of M5 threaded rods for the Z-axis. To make this work, I drilled a 9mm hole in the X-idlers so that the leadscrew can pass through. Next, I'm using my custom Leadscrew_Antiwobble_Left and right parts for the Z-axis to keep everything stable. At the top of the build, I created a new part that centers the leadscrew with a bearing. This will help reduce friction and make the whole system run more smoothly. I also designed some belt pulleys to use 624 bearings on the Y and X axes. The standard steel Y idler has a large hole for the screw, so I made adapters to fit M4 bolts instead. Finally, I created an extension plate for the extruder (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:678089) because without it, the extruder would crash into the frame at the top. Here are my print settings: Printer: Prusa I3 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 25%
