The Prusa i3's aluminum plate requires two plate and spool mounts each attached to M6 threaded rods with nuts and bolts. A separate M8 rod, press-fitted into the spool mounts, supports your filament spool (with adapters available at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:60723). Although this addition may slightly bend the aluminum plate and potentially affect print quality, testing is still ongoing; visit www.sub-design.co.uk/i3build/ for updates. Note that an STL file was accidentally duplicated with a scad file; the correct STL has been added on 29th March 2013.
