Easy-to-load ball bearing spool holder designed specifically for PRUSA i3 and other printers. Spool spindle length/size optimized for Hatchbox and eSun filament spools (PLA, ABS, PETG, TPU). This hybrid design combines the best features of great designs by jasonalday and butchja: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2492772 https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2070272 Two versions of the main arm are included, one for mounting on a 6.0mm thick PRUSA i3 plate and another for a 6.65mm thick plate. Hardware: * (1) M8 x 45mm long bolt * (2) Skateboard wheel bearings, 8x22mm Assembly: 1. Insert one ball bearing into the tube opening on the threaded end of the spool, pressing it firmly into place. 2. Next, insert the M8 x 45mm bolt into the same end of the spool where the first bearing was inserted. 3. From the opposite side of the spool, press a bushing spacer over the M8 bolt, then press in the remaining ball bearing. 4. Finally, screw the M8 bolt into the spool holder arm and fully tighten it, checking for free rotation of the spool; if necessary, loosen the M8 bolt slightly to free the bearings.
