Prusa i3 SilentBlock
thingiverse
This is a pack of noiseReducing silentBlocks designed to cut back on printer sound levels. I printed them on ABS and they work flawlessly on my Prusa i3. You'll want to mount the blocks to the chassis sides - one each side. Another thing: you need to fit the printer to both lower threaded rods, one block on each end of the rod. To hold more weight, you can always add more silentBlocks; just know that it depends on your printer's mass. To support a heavier load, go into FreeCAD, find and increase the loop thickness - easy to do and really helpful. Instructions Go back to the original FreeCAD file and make any necessary changes. To print quieter prints, add thickness to the LOOP - makes it tougher and more supportive of your printer's mass. Export this as an STL model using your preferred slicer. Attach Rod pieces by sliding them into place; Chasis pieces don't need pressure to fit.
