Prusa I3 Rework FAN-DUCT Upgrade Version 2 with Solidworks 2014 Source
thingiverse
I currently utilize Version 2d, uploaded on November 18th, 2014, exclusively on my hotends.com setup with a J-Head, and am thoroughly impressed with the outcome. In fact, it has become my definitive version unless I opt to upgrade to a new printer or replace my current hotend. Following extensive evaluation on November 14th, 2014, both of the original V2 files were deleted as I discovered an inescapable mesh error post-slicing process contingent upon user-defined settings. To rectify this issue, I uploaded V2c, realizing that during initial adjustments, I inadvertently shifted the cut away by three millimeters, thus compromising its structural integrity. After using Version 1 on my printer for a period of several months, I was consistently disappointed with airflow issues. Prompting me to revamp it into Version 2 – a more compact and robust iteration suitable for lower-profile hotends such as current or newer J-Heads. For easier printing, the side walls were also strengthened by incorporating extra thickness.
