Prusa I3 Rework Bowden Extruder and Carriage with Inductive Sensor
thingiverse
HERE IS MY NEW HOTEND CARRIAGE, LIGHTER AND MORE COMPACT:http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1792210 This is a brand-new attempt to create a well-balanced, lightweight, modular and easy-to-adjust-and-access bowden extruder for the Prusa I3 Rework and E3D V6 Hotend. This is undoubtedly the best printing extruder+mount I have used so far! And that's saying a lot since I've utilized: Wade's Geared Extruder (Direct Drive) Wade's Geared Extruder (Bowden Mod) My previous remix of http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1514245 (super heavy, can't print faster than 30mm/s without ghosting) With this new extruder, I can print at 120mm/s with almost no ghosting! And at 60mm/s with no ghosting at all. The Octopus Stand was printed at 120mm/s with no supports as an example. The Extruder was remixed from: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:767951 The Bowden Shims are from here: http://www.baddevices.it/en/content/14-Printable_parts UPDATE 1: I have oriented pieces how they should be printed. UPDATE 2: I have added more pictures. UPDATE 3: I have added a better fan mount for 40mm fans, will add 50mm soon. UPDATE 4: I have added fluid sim of airflow. UPDATE 5: Completely redesigned the Fan Shrouds, and also added printable shims to allow for tweaking of the distance to the hotend. UPDATE 6: Added a new version of the Carriage Clamp that adds a 40mm fan shroud for the E3D V6 Print Settings Printer: Prusa i3 Rework Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 30% Notes: All mount and extruder parts are printed in PLA. Fans are printed in ABS, they're quite close to the Hotend and might reach 60 degrees. Post-Printing BOM: Carriage Mount: 4 x (M4x20 Bolt) 4 x (M4 Nut) Hotend Clamp: 2 x (M3x14 Bolt) 2 x (M3 Nut) Fan Shrouds: 4 x (M3x12 Bolt) Fans: 12 x (M3x10 Bolt) Inductor Mount: 2 x (M3x12 Bolt) 2 x (M3 Nut) Extruder: 1 x (MK7 Hob) 1 x (M5x10 Hex Bolt) 1 x (M3 Nut) 2 x (M3x14 Bolt) 2 x (M3x10 Bolt) Marlin Calibration The offset from the Extruder Nozzle to the Induction Sensor is 59mm in the Y axis. #define Y_PROBE_OFFSET_FROM_EXTRUDER 59 Printing at 200mm/s Airflow Simulation
