Prusa i3 Pro X Parasitic fan duct
thingiverse
This is a removable parasitic fan duct designed for the Prusa i3 Pro X by Geeetech. It uses exhaust from an existing 40mm x 40mm fan on the extruder assembly. Once installed, this part stays surprisingly cool to the touch and can be made from PLA for use with a heated bed. Note that the fan stays on at all times but this piece can be quickly removed when not needed, freeing up motherboard space for other uses. Print Settings Printer: Prusa i3 Pro X Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 20% Notes: Print upside down with the small end of the nozzle in the air and the bottom of the bracket flush on your bed. ABS testing has not been attempted, but this works well with PLA. Post-Printing The small end of the nozzle will print with support material inside, requiring a drill or similar to remove effectively. For any required slight adjustments (such as several mm), gently warm the piece for easy fine-tuning. This design was created from scratch using AutoDesk 123D Design.
