<p>Im not a good carpenter, so I thought up an easy way to create a box for my printer:</p> <p>Attached is all the stl files and a SketchUp file with everything in it - There is a layer in the SketchUp file which contains the parts ready for print.</p> <p>As far as Im informed - nobody have created a box with such a system yet! - Now its Your turn!</p> <p>Its made for 5 mm plywood, but the plastic parts holding it together came out of the printer with 4,5 mm spacing - which with some luck fits perfect for the plywood!! The wider compartment You could choose to be accessible through the wider front plate - refraining from fastening it! : I recommend the Prusa i3 Fixation - cant find the partnumber im afraid!</p> <h3>Instructions</h3> <p>In the skp file - some hinges are missing in the corners of the plexiglass, but they are there as stlfiles, so it shouldnt be a great need.</p> <p>Some of the holes are for selfcarving wood screws: I used 40 mm screws for plasterboards - they are so thin they dont break the part - and has a great grip! - The plastic cave in a little - if You use my stlfiles which has a thin outerlayer - but if You put a rubberfeet over the screw, nobody knows: and the strenght is just fine!</p> <p>The biggest of the 2 frontlids You could quit fixing - its thought as a filament compartment!</p> Category: 3D Printer Accessories
