Prusa I3 printbed bracket 90 degrees
thingiverse
I constructed an enclosure for my Prusa I3 V 2.5 by hand. As many have discovered, this necessitates readjusting the cable that connects to the print bed so it attaches at a precise 90-degree angle. Various designs on Thingiverse can accomplish this task, but I encountered issues with all of them. A frequent problem is relying on screws holding power cables to also secure the connector. This approach is fundamentally flawed. The heat bed generates significant heat and the plastic tends to deform when under stress, causing the power connectors to become loose and resulting in heating problems. My design avoids using the power screws to attach the connector altogether. Furthermore, I experimented with finding the optimal angle for the cable to exit the print bed. If the cable is positioned too low, it risks catching on the print bed, while positioning it too high can cause it to collide with the extruder.
