This isn't exactly a remix, but it was inspired by Plaidbear's design. My reasons for creating my own design were simple: I wanted to do something similar that minimized filament usage, achieved more thickness under screw heads, and ensured foot mounts fit perfectly under 3030 beams without sticking out on the sides. I also didn't want to remove end plates or disassemble anything on the printer, and I had a bunch of 3030 T-nuts to use up. The design was easy to do in Tinkercad. Plaidbear has an excellent technical description of the properties of these feet and why six are needed, so I won't repeat it here. However, I did notice that while these feet completely absorb vibrations transmitted into my desk by the printer, the printer does wobble slightly as the extruder and bed accelerate back and forth. As far as I can tell, this actually helps reduce ringing. When the extruder accelerates in the positive X direction, it's helped along by the printer giving way a bit in the negative X direction, resulting in a cleaner acceleration, and the printer's motion is then absorbed and heavily damped by the feet.
