Prusa i3 MK3/S Tool Tray
thingiverse
This versatile tool tray mounts seamlessly onto hexagonal holes found atop the Z-axis of a Prusa i3 MK3. Its reversible design allows effortless installation on either side, providing unparalleled convenience. Strategically placed are spots for essential tools: a glue stick occupies the large hole, while three frequently used allen keys find their home in smaller openings. Needlenose pliers rest comfortably within a spacious rectangular recess, alongside angle cutters nestled securely in a companion recess. An acupuncture-style needle for unclogging the nozzle is retained by a screw cap, preventing any potential mishaps related to pointy objects. The large open tray offers ample space for storing loose items like screws or a microfiber cloth for effortless bed cleaning. Rounded edges characterize this design, resulting from a deliberate choice to fillet them off. This approach lends a touch of elegance while also enhancing overall safety. On July 14, 2019, an updated version of the acupuncture needle retaining cap was introduced, accommodating needles of longer lengths. This variant measures 8mm longer than its standard counterpart.
