Prusa i3 MK3 reverse bowden curved left top mount
thingiverse
First off, this design is a remix of the original Prusa i3 Mk3 left z-axis top mount and some ideas from ctilley79's reverse bowden setup. The main problem was that everyone using the Mk3 in a reverse bowden setup outside of an enclosure feeds the printer from the right side. That's not possible, since there is no more space on that side. The one left side top mod I found just mirrored the corresponding right side mod. However, when printing at high z positions, the filament would have to pass through the x stepper, which is definitely not a good thing. So, I sat down and created my own solution. The design is currently being printed, so I have no idea how it will perform in real-world situations, but at least there's a small amount of clearance between the x stepper and the filament. I'll update this description once I've actually mounted that arm and routed the reverse bowden setup. And, guess what? It's working out perfectly!
