Prusa i3 MK3 Raspberry Pi Camera Bed Mount
cults3d
This is a custom Raspberry Pi Camera mount designed specifically for the Prusa i3 MK3. Although several designs already exist on Thingiverse, I decided to create my own from scratch. The design snaps onto the bed Y-carriage of the MK3 and features a slot that perfectly fits around the carriage. To ensure stability, you'll need only one zip-tie to keep it in place. Another slot is provided for securing the ribbon cable of the camera. You can use additional zip-ties to guide the cable towards the printer if needed. I've created four versions: 45-degree angled and straight models, each available as left- and right-handed designs. The angled versions ensure the camera mount remains parallel to the bed. My Raspberry Pi uses a wide-angle (fish-eye) version, and I've included a case that provides a recess for the ball. This ensures the camera stays securely in place without rotating or tilting while printing. If you don't have a wide-angle camera, you can find suitable alternatives on Thingiverse. Printing this design requires supports, but they will be minimal. I successfully printed these with ABS and PETG; note that ABS makes it easier to remove supports than PETG does.
