Prusa i3 MK3 PSU wall mount
thingiverse
I store my printer in an Ikea STUVA closet where temperatures soar, which is detrimental to the PSU's health. To address this issue, I redesigned the original Prusa MK3 PSU cover to allow it to be mounted on the side of the closet instead of being confined inside. Before you start printing, make sure to drill holes for the PSU cables so they can pass through the wall it will be attached to. The cables exit the same way as they did with the stock cover. I've included both STL and OpenSCad files in case anyone wants to take my design further and make their own modifications. **Update 19/08/2018** After reevaluating my creation, I realized that the bottom cover didn't match the new outline of the top cover. To fix this, I added some additional features that included "fins" for aesthetic purposes. However, these fins serve no functional purpose and will likely be removed in my next update.
