Prusa I3 MK3 / MK3s Lightbar for Generic 8mm LED strip

Remixed from Bofh_1377s excellent light bar - I had downloaded this to use up some IKEA LED strip I had left over from another project - but realised once I had printed all the parts that the strip I had was not the same as the one required.

So, I remodelled the light bar only - to accommodate some cheap, readily available stick on LED strip. This one, to be exact:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00MHTNYWS/ref=ppx\_yo\_dt\_b\_asin\_title\_o04\_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

But I guess any will do so long as it 8mm or so in width.

The rest of the parts remain the same as the original thing, but I have also added an amended Einsy door with a notch taken out of it for the light power cable (where the kabelkanal meets the top of the Einsy enclosure), and created some clips to mount the on / off / dimmer switch to the 3030 rail that makes up the Prusa lower frame.

The bar takes a single continuous strip of LED lights stuck on to the inner surfaces of the light bar. It doubles back at the far end to run parallel to itself on the other side of the bar.

The switch clips have the small end inserted into the frame groove, and stay in place when rotated 90 degrees so they are upright as shown in the photos.

Print instructions

Category: 3D Printer Parts Summary

Remixed from Bofh_1377s excellent light bar - I had downloaded this to use up some IKEA LED strip I had left over from another project - but realised once I had printed all the parts that the strip I had was not the same as the one required.

So, I remodelled the light bar only - to accommodate some cheap, readily available stick on LED strip.
