Prusa i3 MK3/MK3S Camera Mount

This is a highly adjustable camera mount designed for use with any camera featuring a standard 1/4"-20 tripod mount screw and compatible with Prusa i3 MK3, MK3S or any other printer using 3030 extrusions. To assemble this mount, you'll need the printed parts along with specific hardware components including: - Screw, Socket Head Cap, M3x12 (2x) - Thumbscrew, M5x25 (4x) - Thumbscrew, M5x20 (1x - optional, replacing one of the M5x25 screws) - Screw, Tripod Mount, 1/4"-20 - Nut, M5 or Insert, Threaded, Heatset, M5x6x7 (4x) To attach this mount to your printer frame, simply thread the M3 screws into the mounting nuts and turn them horizontally to insert into the slots on the frame extrusions. Once in place, turn them 90 degrees to vertical. You might need a pair of needle nose pliers for this step. The mounting plate then slides down over the screws in the mounting nuts, with the protrusions of the mounting nuts engaging the slots in the mounting plate to prevent rotation of the nuts while tightening the screws. Assemble everything else as shown in the attached images. If you choose to use the M5x20 thumbscrew, it secures the swing arm to the mounting plate. Note that since I'm unsure about the exact dimensions of the tripod screw I've linked above, you may or may not be able to use a 3/16" e-clip on the shaft below the threads. If the unthreaded portion of the shaft measures anywhere close to 3/16", and it likely will, you'll be able to insert the e-clip on the shaft, which is the purpose for the obround slot on the top of the camera mounting plate. This keeps the tripod screw retained in the camera mounting plate when the camera is removed. I've provided files for two options to secure with the thumbscrews: one uses M5x6x6 heat-set threaded inserts and the other uses standard M5 nuts. The differing files end in either "insertVersion" or "nutVersion." Choose the one you prefer. There are rails on both the swing arm and the upper lift arm for securing the camera cable with velcro straps or wire ties to help keep the cabling under control. This is my first upload to Thingiverse, so I'd love it if you'd make one of these mounts for yourself and share your creation back here. I've included .step and .iges files, as well as a Fusion 360 archive file for you to play with and remix as you'd like. Be sure to link back here and let me know what you've done to improve the design. **Edit...** When printing this mount, I recommend using 0.2mm layer height with 5% infill, except for the frame mounting nuts which can be printed at either 0.1 or 0.15mm. The swing arm and lower and upper lift arms print the transition between the rectangular arm and the mounting clamps more cleanly when using supports. I was able to print fine without them, but the cosmetics of that area are poor without something to support it. Enjoy!
