Remix of the original part designed by mgx has been extended to reach all spacers from the edge of the bed, including those in the center. If you're not using it for adding or removing bed washers, scale down the height to 7.5mm in your slicer. How to use these ----------------------- To remove bed spacers: 1. Loosen all screws on the bed almost fully, but leave a few threads still engaged. 2. Lift up on the bed enough to create space for tweezers underneath. 3. Use tweezers to push over the spacer you want to remove (it will lightly snap into place). 4. Remove the screw completely from the spacer and set it aside. 5. Carefully pull out the tweezers with the spacer captured. To install bed spacers: 1. Place the spacer at the end of the tweezers. 2. Loosen all screws on the bed almost fully, but leave a few threads still engaged. 3. Lift up on the bed enough to create space for tweezers underneath. 4. Insert the tweezers with the spacer captured and align with the hole in the bed. 5. Insert the screw through the bed and spacer, engaging just the first few threads. 6. Pull out the tweezers, gently releasing the bed spacer (now held in place by the screw). I used this process to remove my spacers one by one and sand them down to achieve a much more level bed. Mesh leveling is like magic, but it works better when the bed is already level. I reduced the difference from .45mm to just .08mm overall. Need new or additional bed spacers? The above-linked shims work fine, but they have an inside diameter slightly larger than necessary, making them tricky to keep centered on the bed spacer. However, they stay nicely in the tweezers due to their almost spot-on outside diameter.
