A fan duct that spits out the air both from the sides and from the front. The "arms" that ducts air to the sides are made to immitate a flow-optimized design with large curves and an internal rib to guide the air but no CFD analysis has been done to prove the design. Made to be printed upright with the side where the screw is inserted facing down. The uploaded version has a few more vertical supports for the "arms" than shown in the picture to prevent sagging of overhanging. Because it is so thin, all of the vertical surfaces act as bridges and prints well without slicer-generated support. The support columns in the part can easyly be removed with a knife after printing. This has been made of PLA in 0,15mm layer height by myself. The openings have been made from measurements taken from a part uploaded by "PJR" on the Prusa forums. V4 version has a more print-friendly underside as it is flat against the print bed all the way until it can have a 45 degree print angle. Also, it has 12mm wide "arms" rather than 10mm which is the widest it can be without interferring with the P.I.N.D.A probe and the outlets has been moved a bit away from the hotend to allow clearance for a silicone sock. The wider "arms" may lower air speed at the outlet but it seems that the flow is still pretty high. Print Settings Printer Brand: Prusa Printer: i3 MK2S Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0,15 Notes: To be printed upright. Good retraction settings are a nice thing to have for this as the supports make it retract a lot. Category: 3D Printer Parts
