Hello !\nI started with this great idea from http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1704137 and reworked it, incorporating changes found at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2010233, but I had some minor suggestions for improvement on the design:\n-the screw was excessively long and the tread was too small, making it difficult to put the nut in place when printing quickly (0.2): a shorter length and use of a Trapezoidal ISO thread form with step 1.5 would help.\n-the screw could rotate within its placement on the holder: creating a square head screw would prevent this issue.\n-the nut was hard to screw into place: redesigning it with larger ears made it easier to assemble.\n-the slider was too thin and flexible: making it slightly thicker allowed for infill on the sliding part, enhancing its durability.\n-the holder was a bit tight: expanding its dimensions slightly ensured a smooth fit.\nI printed the holder, screw, and nut using PLA, while using ABS for the slider to withstand wear from ABS prints.\nThe first timelapse test results are shown in the accompanying video.\nPrint Settings\nPrinter Brand: \n Prusa\n \n Printer: \n Prusa Steel\n \n Supports: \n No\n \n Resolution: \n 0.2\n \n Infill: \n cubic 20%\n\nDesign Process\nFusion 360\n I imported the STL files of the original project into Fusion 360, then used them to create full parametric objects.\nSTP files are included in the thing files.
