Prusa i3 MK2-X Remix with i3 MK3 features
thingiverse
Inspired by davtr's Prusa i3 MK2-X and Tom Sanladerer's review of the Prusa i3 Mk3, I embarked on building my own printer from scratch, incorporating as many features from the i3 Mk3 as possible. Here are the key features: * Trinamic TMC2130 drivers provide numerous advantages, including extremely quiet operation, no need for end-stop switches, and precise motor control. With these drivers, motors sense when a limit is reached, eliminating the requirement for potentiometer adjustments and allowing software-selectable currents. The drivers also offer 256 microsteps, enabling smooth and precise movement. * I utilized Prusa i3 Mk3 parts in several key areas: + The X carriage features X ends, carriage front and back, and cable holder components from the i3 Mk3. + A remixed spool holder was designed to accommodate 3030 mounts. + A nozzle blower mount was adapted to fit an E3d Titan extruder. + The original nozzle blower duct remains intact. + I remixed the power supply enclosure to fit a 360W, 12V supply with 3030 mounts. * Other notable components include: + An E3d V6 hotend + An E3d Titan extruder clone + A BLTouch bed sensor for precise temperature control + The MKS-Gen control board was modified to accommodate Trinamic TMC2130 drivers + A PEI print surface ensures smooth and durable prints.
