Prusa i3 MK2 Top_Arms_for GoPro and more
thingiverse
I love my Prusa 3D printer, but one thing's missing: a top part that's easy to install and remove. I wanted something simple, like the Prusa i3 mk2 Z-axis design with its small gap on both sides. I decided to use this space to attach my custom parts. Designing began, and I printed mine using a method that makes it easy for other designers to create their own parts in the future. For example, I designed the front part to hold a GoPro camera, but it's simple to design new parts for normal cameras or even lights. Later on, I added two strips of ABS attached to the top arms and used LED lights from IKEA. Now my printer has multi-color lights that make it easier to watch in the dark when printing or recording with my GoPro. Check out this video recorded with my GoPro and lights: https://youtu.be/LnW1U7sQTIc https://youtu.be/FfkofnRtNfo Note: The GoPro case wasn't included because it's not my design. Feel free to make changes and share mine on the go! Print Settings: Printer: PRUSA i3 MK2 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.1 Infill: 20% Notes: Use ABS for main arms for strength and stability, and avoid easy breakage. How I Designed This: I used 3Ds max to design it and Netfabb for STL files.
