I avoid having the filament spool, which is quite heavy, above the printer as it causes unwanted vibration. In search for an alternative location, I decide to install it onto one of the side braces that I utilize. This places the spool on a rigid framework and since it's positioned lower down, it's also significantly less likely to introduce vibrations into the system. There are three primary components: The spool holder features self-taps for M8 and M10 rods with a single nut for secure locking in position. Bowden tube guide 1 has self-taps for M10 with a bolt for securing. It accommodates a 2/4mm Bowden tube. Bowden tube guide 2 boasts self-taps for M10 with a large hole providing a loose guide. I employ approximately 75cm of PTFE tubing and the Parametric spool holders equipped with M8 bearings.
