Prusa i3 MK2(S) & MK2.5 y axis upgrade
thingiverse
These custom MK3 style y-axis ends have been designed specifically for my upgraded Prusa i3 MK2.5, boasting super stiff construction that resists bending under the tension of the y belt. For optimal results, it's highly recommended to print these parts in PETG with 20% infill. In order to successfully mount the display, you will also need to print the MK3 LCD supports. This is a crucial step as they serve as a mounting platform for the display on this front plate. During the printing process, two small rings surrounding the large holes for the threaded rods provide additional support to the inner hole, ensuring stability and accuracy. However, it's essential to remove these rings before attaching the parts to the printer. **Update 05/30/2018:** As mentioned in the comments section, the LCD Controller may be positioned too low when no additional feet are used under the printer. To address this issue, I've added an updated front plate to the download section which should resolve this problem. Furthermore, STEP files of the plates are now available for download, providing users with more flexibility and options when customizing their printer setup.
