Prusa i3 MK2 Filament Spool Holder
thingiverse
I wasn't thrilled with the included filament holders on my Prusa i3 MK2, so I designed this simple contraption to make swapping out filament a breeze. To build it, print two supports and one each of the rod and beam. Then, use super glue to bond the two supports and beam together securely. To switch filaments quickly, just lift out the rod and replace it easily! Although the orientation is a bit off, you should be able to lay them out without much trouble. The rod needs supports for its two protruding posts, so I added a flat section to it - this way, you can print that side down without relying on supports for the entire thing. This design was carefully measured to fit my Prusa i3 MK2 perfectly, but I'm not confident it will work with the MK1 or any of the numerous variations of the i3. Enjoy using it! If you appreciate this, consider showing your appreciation with a tip - thank you!
