To prevent unwanted tangles of your spool, I've designed this piece that fits between the spool holders. Simply thread the filament through the hole and proceed to load. It may not work every time, as some companies wrap filaments on spools with sloppy care, but it should save you aggravation in the long run. Supports are crucial for a successful print, so I recommend using at least 30-40% rectilinear infill for strength, allowing you to use this object more than a few times. Avoid using super stiff PLA or any other material that's difficult to hook and unhook. The maximum dimension of this object is X = 78.65 mm, which is a scale reference point. To ensure the thread cylinder attaches tightly to the vertical holder, please use at least 65% outline overlap. Print Settings: Printer: Prusa i3 mk2 Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2 mm Infill: Minimum 30-40% rectilinear Notes: Use minimum 65% outline overlap so the cylinders attach tightly to the horizontal holder.
