Prusa i3 Laser Cut Frame and Braces - improved nut trap for PLY
thingiverse
I've been using Shane Graber's frame design on several builds, and it's fantastic (thanks for sharing, Shane!). However, when I switched from aluminum to PLY, I noticed that the nut trap was a bit fragile and prone to breaking. It would likely be the first part to fail. To address this issue, I decided to use a remix of Joshua Rowley's nut trap design from e3d. This modification allowed me to update the frame to accommodate the new nut trap. Note: If you're participating in a group build, don't worry about the SLMS logo on the frame. Just ignore it when setting up your job control. I've included the Fusion360 source below, which has been optimized for cutting 600x400 PLY sheets. The original arrangement was just a bit too large for the sheet size.
