Prusa I3 extruder mount
thingiverse
I crafted this extruder mount with a sturdier build in mind, opting out of linear bearings tied together with twine. I also designed an easier setup solution for belt fastening. It's been half a year since I've successfully used it alongside a direct drive extruder. Printed using PLA at a 0.1 mm layer height. Use allan screws or screws with washers for the extruder; tiny-headed screws might mar the holes due to the weight of the machine. Avoid tightening bearing screws too tightly, as they can misalign and move jerkily. M2.5 bolts secure the small blocks for the belt, while everything else uses M3 hardware. Spare holes are strategically placed on top and sides for mounting add-ons such as cable pillars or pillars.
