Prusa i3 direct drive extruder
thingiverse
I designed a straightforward direct drive extruder for my mini Prusa i3, and being a compact model, it lacks space, so I crafted this solution. It sandwiches an E3D V6 style extruder onto the x-carriage. The extruder features mounting holes for a standard 40mm computer fan, and the idler lever utilizes a bearing that I salvaged from a larger computer fan. Old computer parts can be your allies when it comes to 3D printing. I recently added my custom-designed x-carriage, which adds an extra 25mm of build space on the x-axis. Have fun exploring this project! Print Settings Printer: Prusa i3 Mini Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2mm layer height Infill: 100% for maximum strength
