Prusa i3 box for Megatronics v3
thingiverse
This is a custom-designed case to host Megatronics v3 board (my board is version E). The enclosure can be mounted directly onto the back of a 6mm aluminum frame using existing mounting holes. Features include: clips to secure stepper and other cabling in place clips on the cover to keep fan cable tidy three large entry points at the bottom for air and cables to enter freely an almost completely open back design for optimal cooling a 50x50mm fan mount (designed to cool XYZ stepper driver and power mosfet) with spacers to prevent contact with the enclosure an open top for easy airflow circulation Known Issues: There is a deliberate cut on the top-left edge due to a stabilizer rod (I highly recommend adding stabilizers, my design can be found here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:624383). You may choose to utilize it as an exit or entry point for cables. No dedicated windows or holes are provided for LEDs (they emit intense light, so they're visible from anywhere) Instructions: Print the case using 0.35 layer height, 1mm perimeter walls, and a 0.5 nozzle Cover clips for fan cable require cutting a support to route the cable effectively Required Hardware: 4 x M3x10 screws to secure the board in place 2 x M3x20 screws with nuts to fasten the fan 3 x M3x10 screws to mount to the aluminum frame 4 x M3x10 screws to secure the cover, preferably using wood screws. Alternatively, brass press-fit inserts are an excellent option. Please inspect all holes and screw mounts for fit before assembling everything!
