Prusa i3 Bowden mounts

The Prusa i3's original design lacked a suitable single-hotend mount. To rectify this, I designed a Ubis hot end mount for my self-sourced Prusa i3, which works with 1.75mm filament. The Ubis hot end has a groove that is compatible with J-head grooves too. The design includes two hot end mount variants and a cold end bracket. Instead of the usual screw hole method, I opted for a tight fitting groove mount after reading a thread on RepRap forums. Both versions are included in the SCAD files, and you can adjust the height and depth of the mount as needed. The cold end mount attaches to the Prusa i3 sgraber frame and holds the cold end up. I recommend using this extruder: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:34503. For it, print the extruder with a 5mm hole or melt an M5 nut into the cavity. Remember to adjust the filament_diameter to 1.75mm. To assemble the hot end mount, gather 2x 5mm thread 4mm OD pneumatic pushfit connectors, 2 feet of 4mm OD 2mm ID PTFE tube, a 40mm fan, an M5 nut, 4 M3 nuts, and 8 M3 x 16mm and 25mm screws. Print the mount with ABS at least 2 perimeters and do not use PLA. Ream out all the M3 screw holes and melt the M5 nut into the top of the mount. Screw the pneumatic fitting into the nut, gently wedge the hot end into the mount, slide the groove plate into the groove on the hot end, align and clamp it using 16mm M3 nuts and screws. Secure the mount to the x-carriage with 25mm screws, and attach the fan using 25mm screws as well. The cold end mount is designed for single-plate Prusa i3s with sgraber wings and requires no additional hardware. Loosen the top left z-axis smooth-rod holder, slide the mount over the frame aligning the holes, then reattach the holder. Slide the extruder into place and tighten the M4 screw for stability.
