I am using an external relay to tap into the main power supply instead of relying on the RAMPS board for power. The PS's additional 12V output makes this setup a breeze. I've also upgraded to a thicker core cable, which gives me even faster heating times. A simple bracket design holds the solenoid relay board snugly below my PS, and some M3 bolts, nuts, and washers secure it all in place.
