Prusa i3 / Bear Z Height Mod for Ikea Lack Enclosure
thingiverse
After upgrading my Prusa MK2.5 with the Bondtech Extruder and Bear Frame, I discovered it couldn't travel to the top of the Z Axis while housed within my Ikea Lack enclosure. Deciding to remove some material from the top of the enclosure using a router (it's mostly cardboard), I created a drop-in housing for the groove. Included in these uploads is the file for the housing, along with some plates to glue to the outside of the housing where you connect the two halves for added support, and an extended rim if needed to cover up any cuts that extend beyond your original template :). Utilizing E6000 glue, I combined the two halves and stuck them inside the groove.
