Prusa i3 Ball Bearing Spool Holder

UPDATE 12/23/2020: A problem arose with previous files due to an adjustment made for better clearance, but a subsequent test print was not performed, resulting in a critical oversight on my part. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Description: This mount allows the use of regular skateboard bearings and enables you to set your spool directly onto the printer. To secure the two pieces together, CA glue is used. Alternatively, you can drill a hole through where the bearings fit and use a nut and bolt combination, but I deemed it unnecessary. Items needed in addition to filament: * 4 Skateboard Bearings * CA Glue Assembly: * Place the bearings onto the shafts. * Apply some CA glue to the "bridge" piece where the two halves meet. * Press and hold together until the glue dries. Installation: * Remove the stock filament holder. * Position the upper portion onto the top edge of the printer, aligning it with the frame's groove. Some force may be required, but avoid applying excessive pressure to prevent damage to your part. * The mount will snap into place once properly seated. * Space the two braces adequately to accommodate your spool on the bearings. * Load filament and enjoy smooth printing operations.
