Prusa i3 A602 Metal X carriage
thingiverse
I have a Prusa i3 A602, but my X carriage is not typical, it's made with 2 SC8UU pillow bearing blocks. I want to modify this metal extruder holder into an E3D V6 hotend. My biggest problem right now is that I can't use some of the posted X carriages here on Thingiverse because they have a rod distance of 45.5mm, and mine needs to be the same for proper fitment. If someone has successfully modified their carriage to fit an E3D V6 bowden hotend with a captive proximity sensor, could you please let me know? That would save me from re-doing something that's already been done. By the way, I do like one of your creations on Thingiverse - it's a great-looking redesigned X cradle for Bowden E3D V6 for Prusa i3 A602. The original creator was Aworldnet and has now made a final design available. This new X cradle comes with improved fan holders and all holes have to be drilled specifically according to the fan you'll use. I noticed that the cradle plate is also wider, but still has room for SC8UU pillow block bearings and tiny holes for Belt screws - really well thought out! As a final note, feel free to customize this design with online Tinkercad at any time; it was created and edited right within the tool. All in all, hope you like the redesign and maybe give some love to Aworldnet's great work!
