Prusa i3 3D Phoenix cable chain mod
thingiverse
To replace the spiral cable clamp with something else, I adapted this cable carrier chain: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:611593 to make it fit on a 3D Phoenix. The right side is fixed on the extrusion motor, and the left side is fixed in the groove that previously used to pass cables through. I also created a small curved guide to direct cables towards the back of the printer. Instructions CHAIN.STL is one link of the chain. I printed 27 of them for my printer. CHAIN-S.STL is the little clip that prevents cables from being released in the link. CHAIN-Z.STL is the Z-axis support piece to be inserted into the space that used to hold cables. CHAIN-Y.STL is the Y-axis support piece to be clipped onto the motor CHAIN-ZSUB.STL is the curved guide piece to be fixed under CHAIN-Z.STL for directing cables towards the back of the printer
