Prusa i2 Y Axis belt tensioner - No disassembly required
thingiverse
Unable to locate an ideal belt tensioner without disassembly, I created my own design and provided the CAD files. To complete this project, use SAE parts from a local hardware store. Purchase: 1 x 6-32 X 1-1/4" screw, 1 x 6-32 nut (ensure the green label box for correct size), and 2 x 6-32 1/4" screws. Also, buy a 608 skate bearing from a skate, ski or snowboard shop. Assemble the parts according to the printed design. Adjust the nuts on the idler bearing, slide it between fender washers, and tighten the nuts (adjust belt tension as desired). If you lack a belt guide, you can leave some play for smoother operation without binding.
