Its FINALLY HERE!!. For all of you like me that are still using a Prusa Mendel i2, there is finally an option for a good print cooler design available. I would like to emphasize that I am not the original designer for this cooler, credit goes to Zeppelinum/ http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:120249. However, I did do the modifications necessary for this to fit on a Prusa Mendel i2 with a Wade extruder and a 3-bearing x-axis carriage. I have printed this myself and am currently installing it on my printer as I make this post. I apologize for any "crudity" of the model due to the fact that I was having a massive amount of mesh failures when exporting from Tinkercad. This is the best I could get done without making one from scratch, however I assure you it prints fine and fits together well. I have added rails in order to try to make sure that the print cooler can only move freely on the vertical axis. I have also added 2mm holes in the print cooler for set screws in order to lock the two pieces together and to clamp the heat sink shroud onto the heat sink itself. Once I have this completed and on my printer, I will update with the outcome.
