Prusa ENCLOSURE -Ikea Lack table - 2.5mm perspex, 12x3mm round magnets and 60mm leg extenstion
thingiverse
I acquired some 500x500x2.5mm perspex at a discounted price and decided not to cut it down any further than necessary. I lengthened the top leg extensions to fit perfectly and modified the hinges for a snug, secure fit. The actual thickness of the perspex turned out to be 2.3mm instead of 2.5mm, and these hinges are extremely tight. I also redesigned the top perspex holders to be magnetic, making it easy to remove the sides and back at will. All magnets used were 12x3mm round magnets that I had on hand. Edit: The vertical clearance is a generous 505mm. Edit: I added handles for 3mm perspex. The top corners can accommodate 3mm without any modifications, while the bottom corners remain unchanged from the original design. You'll need to obtain the original hinges for the doors. Edit: On August 18, 2018, I made a significant update by eliminating the perspex extension and foot entirely.
