This is a filament spool stand designed for holding filaments spools on top of an enclosure, specifically created for the IKEA LACK TABLE Enclosure. The original holder was problematic due to its tendency for the spool to fall, as it simply sat on bearings within a frame. This new design ensures stability regardless of the material used to make the spool. A picture shows one such spool made from cardboard (Saint Smart), which couldn't stand upright and had to be hung. To create this system, print two double stands or two single stands if you prefer a setup for holding three spools of filament. Alternatively, if you only need to hold one spool, simply print two double or two single stands. If your enclosure is an IKEA LACK TABLE, which is primarily made from cardboard and incompatible with screws, mount these stands onto a piece of board first before attaching the board to the top of the table using VELCRO (as shown in the accompanying photos). The rods used for suspending the spools are 3/4 inch PVC pipe segments approximately 4.25 inches long. To secure the ends of each PVC pipe, caps were created; you can also saw slits near the ends if desired to allow the cap to latch and prevent it from falling off easily.
