Prusa Electronics Cage (RAMPS)
thingiverse
This enclosure is specifically designed for housing Arduino/RAMPS electronics in an organized manner. It attaches to the Prusa i2 frame's side and includes a slot for a 80mm fan inside, keeping the RAMPS cool and preventing stepper motor driver skipping. The design ensures proper airflow while keeping components securely in place. The enclosure is easy to assemble with clear instructions: first, print all parts (including two long side parts); then, attach the fan to the cover piece using four M3 x 30mm screws and nuts; followed by attaching the Arduino to the base plate with short standoffs, then the RAMPS board. Next, secure the three side pieces to the base piece with M2 screws (no nuts required). Mount the enclosure on the printer's side using zip ties through designated holes, and finally, snap the cover over the enclosure and secure it with more M2 screws. Ensure your fan is connected to a power source for optimal performance.
