Prusa cablesnake droop stop remix
thingiverse
The Prusa MK2 cable snake for the X axis and hotend components has a nasty habit of sagging, often far too low. I used to prop it up with a makeshift wooden stick for months on end but my recent Ender 3 modding frenzy had me tackling problems I didn't even know existed. I printed this part on a budget clone, but it's an effortless print job on any machine, taking about 30 minutes. I slapped together the two modified models by crudely merging them in Tinkercad. A cheap retractable ID keyfob from Amazon serves as the perfect attachment mechanism. Thanks are owed to Nerys and Wschadow for their hard work! A new V2 model has been added, replacing the original. The original design interfered with the X carriage at the highest Z heights, so I deleted it. V2 attaches to the frame from a different angle, ensuring a clean setup. If you downloaded this model before the update, consider reprinting for optimal results.
