PRUSA BEAR UPGRADE MEAN WELL PSU MOUNT
thingiverse
The Prusa factory psu on my Prusa MK3 Bear Upgrade finally failed so I bought a Mean Well psu from Amazon. The specifications are identical, but the form is different and since the power supply is external, it needs a mount and a way to hide/protect the wires. SZKRYB designed a nice mount for the Mean Well psu, but it was for a Ender 3 and wouldn't work for my Bear Upgrade printer. But the idea of a rear mounted switch/receptacle was appealing so I used his layout as my inspiration; however, I had to make the design and drawing from scratch to accommodate my printer and the kind of switch I used. So technically I don't think it's a remix. Correct me if I'm mistaken. The specifications for both the psu and the switch I opted for were available, so I designed and printed this cover before I had the hardware in hand. It fit perfectly. The switch is a combination switch/fuse/receptacle which fits into a 46.7mm X 27mm square hole and has the mounting holes oriented along the long side. I printed the front cover with support, but I suspect you could get away without support. I restricted support to the switch hole only for the back half using the support blocking function of Cura. You'll need a few 4mm, 3mm, and 2mm screws for mounting the psu and securing the cover. The psu re-uses the two existing Bear Upgrade "upper psu mounts". The large removable cover ("front half") makes it easy to attach the wires if, like me, you took out all the slack when you did the original build.
