Prusa air 2 in alu

thingiverse

The original 6mm Prusa i3 design has been modified in a 6mm Prusa Air Thing 14204 creation. Key printer and machined parts can be found on Thingiverse, except for the PCB board. To assemble this printer, first cut the parts using a laser cutter or by printing and cutting 3mm material. Print the necessary Prusa Mendel components, such as a custom Uni extruder for 1.75 filament, an own mini hot end with an experimental 0.8 mm nozzle. The design has been further improved with LM8UU on the Y axis for increased speed of 150mm/sec without wobbling. Credit goes to Mecano for sharing the Thingiverse design, and the printer now runs on a Dremel for creating Gen6 PCBs with a 0.4mm mill at 30mm/sec. It's a fully functional RepRap after modifications! For more details and images, visit http://www.thy3d.com/?p=326.
