Hi Everyone, I've uploaded my Prusa Air 2 Remix. It's not ready yet, so don't be surprised if I make some changes. Before that, I'd like to thank the people who designed and improved the Prusa Air 2. I've taken a few components from it to make printing the Prusa Air 2 Gecko easier. The components I've used are all sourced. If anyone objects to me having these parts, please let me know. I was unable to find the source for the Thigiverse Motor Holder of the Z axis. If you're the creator and I've missed you, please write me back! Why did I call this printer Prusa Air 2 Gecko? I read the submission from Prusa Air 2 and adapted it to my Exo Terra terrarium. I once bred geckos, but had to stop for personal reasons. As a reminder of those geckos, I built this 3D printer myself. The colors I chose are Grandi (lots of green, red, some orange, and turquoise). The terrarium is designed to prevent dust and fumes from escaping. To make this possible, I bought a filter. After printing the Lizard, Prusa Pimp (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:26609), I plan to adapt it to this project. What did I do? First, I looked at several 3D printer models. The ones I liked best were the Prusa Air models. Then I searched for versions of them. I used the Prusa Air 2 as a template. The sizes are almost identical to the Prusa Air 2 (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:14204). As you can see in the pictures, I built the printer so it can fit in an Exo Terra terrarium (45cm x 45cm x 60cm). The components are labeled "P01_1pic_Name.stl" with part numbers as follows: P01 = Part01. The second number tells how many times you need the component, and the third is the name of the component. The DXF file was processed by Prusa Air 2 to mount the Motor holder on Z axis. I also installed a stabilization in the back of Additional Services, along with holes for "Arduino Mega". I used the X axis holder from http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:18384 with metric trapezoidal leadscrews TR8x1.5 and nuts that fit a 17mm wrench size (15mm height). The other version of it can also be used. I had the acrylic glass laser cut to 6mm thickness. Right now, some remodeling is in progress, and I've decided on a Bulldog extruder (http://www.reprapdiscount.com/), a metal carriage (http://reprapworld.com/?products_details&products_id/599/cPath/1616_1668#.VZFMnrQu9hE), and a "Reprap Mendel Prusa i3 Z Axis Y Carriage Plate timing Belt Holder Aluminum Alloy" from ebay. I'll keep you updated on any new changes.
