A versatile dust shoe designed for use with Proxxon rotatory tools as a spindle in CNC machines is showcased here. This innovative device is being used on a Shapeoko CNC machine, which benefits from the incorporation of a 20mm motor mount, commonly known as an ID20mm Spindle Motor Mount Proxxon IB/E 50/E. The original version of this dust shoe had a fixed intake collar, but it presented a problem: depending on the length of the tool being used, the intake collar could sometimes be positioned too far from the work-piece to be effective. To overcome this issue, an exchangeable intake collar with different lengths was added to this updated design. Print Settings: Printer Brand: MakerBot Printer: MakerBot Replicator Rafts: Yes Supports: Yes Resolution: Normal Infill: 10% Notes: The main body of the dust shoe is printed as a single piece using MakerWare, with raft and support enabled at 0.2mm resolution, 10% infill, PLA material, blue-tape, and no heat plate applied. The intake collars are also printed in a single part without any raft or support needed.
