The feed gear of my Proxxon PD-230 snapped due to misuse. I fabricated a replacement using PLA, printing at 0.2mm layers and 100% infill. This custom part performed flawlessly for fine-tuning aluminium and proves effective for light cutting tasks. My printer's inconsistent layering unexpectedly helps to break down metal chips during operation. The finished product boasts an excellent finish with a rounded cutting edge.
