PROXXON Micromot 50 Holder

This is a holder for the PROXXON micromot 50 to attach it to the Mendel90 x-carriage instead of the extruder. This allows you to convert your Mendel90 into a CNC drilling and milling machine. I am using this for drilling PCBs. What I still need is something to mount the PCB reliably. My provisional test was successful, though. How-to: Unlike 3D printing, I do not use endstops. Instead, I manually drive the drill to a reference point using Pronterface. Then, I set the origin using "G92 X0 Y0 Z3" because Z0 is the maximum drill depth. The program in the video was handcrafted for testing but can also be generated using Eagle and the PCB-GCode plugin. Tips: Use G92 X0 Y0 Z0 for testing without drilling. If it looks good, change to Z3. Also, the travel lines in Pronterface's 3D view are already very useful for verifying drill paths. Print Settings: Printer Brand: Printer: Mendel90 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.3 Infill: 20% Notes: I printed this using ABS at 240°C. The print is okay but has a little warping at two edges. It's still usable.
