Proxxon Micromot 50/E mount for Ender 3
thingiverse
A Mount for Attaching a Proxxon Micromot 50/E Rotary Tool to an Ender 3 Printer. This mount is not overly rigid, but still produces decent engravings when used with a 1mm carbide ball bit at a feed rate of 15mm/min and a DOC (depth of cut) of 0.2mm. To print the Mount, use the "Mount.stl" file with the mounting "ears" facing the build plate, while printing supports for the holes. Also, print the "Proxxon holder.stl" flat side down, with supports in place. Remove any unnecessary supports and attach both pieces together using two M3x10mm countersunk screws and nuts. Next, remove the fan cover on your Ender 3 printer by unscrewing it. Then, use the original screws to secure both the fan cover and the mount that will slide over it into position. Finally, tighten the rotary tool in place with another M3 screw and nut. Engraving is straightforward using this setup. Simply home the printer manually relative to your workpiece by adjusting the tool position by hand and issuing a G92 command.
