Proximity Switch holder for a REK hot end
thingiverse
I designed this Proximity switch holder after buying a Rek-Max3D Comet Hot End on Ebay. The hot end has a slim cross section, as you can see, which brings the proximity switch closer. This shrinks the printer head's radius significantly. I specifically made it for a DC 6-36V NPN NO 3-wire 4mm Non-contact Inductive Proximity Sensor Switch LJ12A3-4-Z/BX. Connecting to my Ramps 1.4 is straightforward. I use the two power wires to hook up to the main 12-volt source, then tap into the positive wire of the original sensor cables and connect it to the NPN proximity's third wire. This lets the sensor operate without any resistors in the circuit.
