I made a major adjustment to version 2 by placing it closer to the center of the hot-end in the Y direction. This change ensures that the bed is always within reach of the sensor, which was a problem with the previous model as well. I maintained all of the notes from v2: Korri on Thingiverse originally designed this; however, I rewrote it entirely in 123D to enable mounting at a lower level and accommodate the i3 Rework E3D Extruder: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:257811 (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:415175 - for 1.75mm). I used an LJ12A3-4-Z/BX sensor with this version. Korri's original mount was not low enough to secure the sensor and enable it to sense the build plate. The instructions remain the same: I completely created it from scratch using Autodesk 123D Design. You'll find the source file included, so feel free to enjoy! Make sure to combine the long part with the round part having a hole in it before exporting as an STL file. To print, I used Siridi Royal Blue PLA at 195ºC and set the bed temperature to 60ºC. My Cura settings were as follows: * Print speed: 30mm/s (Bottom layer speed: 10mm/s) * Layer height: 0.3mm * Shell thickness: 0.8mm * Bottom/top shell thickness: 0.9mm * Fill density: 20% * Support type: Touching build plate * Platform adhesion type: None
